Is the .308 Caliber strong enough to kill Elk at 300 Plus Yards or do I need something bigger and stronger?
I know the .308 caliber is known for it's great accuracy but is it potent enought to take elk down at 300 to 350 yards? I hunt deer mostly and will start to hunt Elk next season and make it a yearly thing so I want to know if I need to get something bigger or can I stay with my .308?
first off hellsbells37 is an idiot. don't make a mockery of people because you had a bad day.
now i assume your talking about a .308 win which is used by the military. go to hornady.com chech out their .308 ammo. they have cartridges called light magnums. they should give you perpormance similar to a 30-06. these are not to be used in semi autos. if you are unsure if a standard load will do it, then use the light magnums. better to be safe than sorry.

Grinding Sound When Turning 6K 2008 Dodge Caliber SE Plus Can't Find Problem Out Any Help?
Had it to the dealer once which they couldn't duplicate the problem and blamed it on the cold and said wait for the car to warm up.
The car has just 6k on it when the problem started happening and I can still hear it even when it's warmed up if anyone else has an answer for this problem I'd appreciate it too.
If it isn't clear the problem is when turning left or right there is a grinding sound coming from the front of the car.
P.S. please don't post if all your going to answer is well it's a Dodge or an American car what do you expect...
Thanks to all the helpful answers in advance
Well it's obvious by the dealerships silly comment about the weather , unless it was extremely cold out like -40 lol I highly doubt normal that those vehicles would make any grinding noises lol especially being brand new.
You really need to go to another dealership or call the head office's 1800 number bec if it's a constant noise all the time it's not something that isn't needed to be asap repaired by them.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way always try to find the best service shop or dealership you can find bec believe me their quality of work or customer service and attitudes can vary so much it's like day and night sometimes.
