Can I replace a laptop's 2.5 amp mickey mouse power cord with a 10 amp cord?
All else is same between cords (120 volt, etc). Adapter is fine--dog damaged the cord while unplugged.
if its going from the wall to an adapter it doesnt matter because the adapter only pulls so much if it was a 2.5 amp and it pulled 1 amp and now you have a ten amp cord it will still pull 1 amp the manufactures do that so that it saves materials bc you dont need a 10 amp wire for a 1 amp job OVERKILL.
but again make sure it goes only from the wall to an ac to dc adapter any other way this info is uselessss!
